Introduction

 

Palestine Polytechnic University (PPU), in partnership with  Global Ties (GT) – Detroit – USA, has received a grant for the project titled: Digital Marketing Services to Support Private Sector Growth and Student Entrepreneurship. Accordingly, PPU and GT would like to hire a Project Coordinator to work on project implementation.

 

Assignment Objective

 

PPU is seeking a highly qualified Project Coordinator to be part of the administrative staff responsible for the overall coordination and implementation of all Palestine based project activities under the supervision of the Project Director.

 

Main Tasks and Responsibilities

 

The coordinator will be responsible for the following tasks:

  1. Develop administrative forms, reports and financial documents of the project in Arabic and English.
  2. Follow-up all procurement and financial issues related to the project in accordance with the project procurement procedures and guidelines.
  3. Schedule, attend, and document meetings related to all project  activities. 
  4. Assist in preparing specifications for equipment to be purchased.
  5. Follow up and document receiving and installing equipment.
  6. Follow up technical reports regarding the purchased equipment.
  7. Follow up with GT in preparing terms of references for hiring project consultants.
  8. Participate in creating communication channels with local private sector towards cooperation, and communications in implementing shared activities of the project. 
  9. Participate in preparing work plans for cooperation with the private sector and assisting in their implementation.
  10. Participate in the planning and coordination of student activities and projects.
  11. Assist the director of the project in program administration.
  12. Assist the director of the project in writing the quarterly progress reports and any other reports requested by PPU and GT.

 

 

Qualifications& skills:

 

  • A bachelor degree in project management, business administration, entrepreneurship or any related field
  • Preferable one year of experience in project implementation
  • Highly organized and capable of managing activities
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • Excellent English language
  • Excellent writing skills
  • Budgeting and financial management
  • Computer Skills

 

Place of work

 

The Project coordinator will work on the PPU campus in Hebron

 

Time Frame

 

The duration of the assignment is 32 months. The consultant shall work 8 hours per day 5 days per week.

 

Contract Type

 

Time Based contract.
